STILL HALLOWEEN AT OUR HOUSE

Yes, we are still celebrating Halloween, only this time Jerry is with us! Jerry always brings little prizes for Caiden and Bailee when he comes home. We always look forward to him honking the horn when he drives up in the drive way. The day that he travels home, Jerry and I are constantly texting each other, and we are telling each other how much we miss each other and love each other , and how we can't wait to see one another. It is soo much like when we were dating, how we would talk on the phone for hours, about how we couldn't wait to see another! He kids get so excited about him coming home, they are always looking out the windows to see that white Impala pulling up in the driveway !! As always, when he arrived Thursday night, we all met him out outside, and have him big hugs and kisses. Then we all go inside and help him carry luggage in. He was so glad to come in the house to the smell of Ham cooking and he was so ready for a home cooked meal! He eats out a lot when he is away, and so craves my home cooking. After getting settled in, He came to the door with a huge Halloween Decoration for Caiden and Bailee. He got it for them since he could not be here on Halloween, and wanted them to know that we was sorry that he missed it.
They were so excited that Jerry got it for them! It talks and blinks and moves and says all sorts of things!! The kids quickly went and got some of their Halloween candy and filled it up !! They played with it all Thursday night. Jerry is so thoughtful and he cares so much about our family. I think sometimes that people often take family for granted. We sometimes get in a routine of working, doing chores, cooking, doing homework, and we often forget our grateful and blessed we are. But, not us, we treasure every moment our family has together, for we know how blessed we are to have such a loving family. God puts us in situations sometimes to remind us how blessed we are to have a family, and nobody knows that better than us, for we will NEVER take for granted how God blessed us and always protects us and how He allowed us to be a family. Thank you Lord that we can always count on you for allowing us to be together!! And thank you Lord, for our Jerry being able to come home!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU EAT TOO MUCH HALLOWEEN CANDY!!

MY JERRY

Jerry is FINALLY coming come today! The kids and I are so excited and looking forward to spending a couple of days with him! As most of you already know, his job requires him to be way from home. He could be away from us for a couple of weeks, and sometimes months. But we know the sacrifices he makes for us, and we all work together to make our family life as normal as possible. We love him so much and we thank God daily for all he does for our family.
Jerry and I have been together now 18 years, and I would like to think that I know him pretty well! Even though we have a hectic but happy and grateful life, I am reminded that I need to take care of him just like I take care of the children. So, I wanted to list a couple of things about my Jerry.
1.He can still remember what I wore on our first date.
2. He loves to sit in his recliner, and watch sports center and flips the channels faster than I can blink.
3. He loves politics and will engage in any political conversation and debate. AND will win the argument 99.9% of the time!
4. He is very proud of his education that he received from The University Of Louisiana At Monroe. He continually supports them, and insists on our children going there, even though my dreams were set on LSU!
5. He can sit and read a 300 page book in about 2 hours.
6. His favorite job was being a policemen, and often watches COPS for that adrenaline rush he use to get when chasing bad guys!
7. His most favorite quote is "Don't mistake my kindness as a weakness" that he got from one of his policing buddies, Bob Brown. That being said when Bob doesn't give you a speeding ticket the first time, BUT will if stopped AGAIN 2 hours later!
8.He is a natural born leader, he loves to be the head guy and he gladly will listen to positive criticism, but he thrives on the fact that he can be better, and he will put his all into making it the best!
9. He always puts 110% effort in all he does, whether it be work related or doing things with his family.
10. His favorite meal is Ham, Baked Beans, crescent rolls, which I am cooking now for a surprise!
11. His favorite dessert, Banana Pudding, waiting on him in the fridge!
12. He loves to coach Caiden in baseball and he was our head coach for All-Stars and helped to get our boys to play in the 9-10 championship.
13. He was raised in a very loving and Christian home, and wants the same for our family.
14. He values my opinions and advice and the advice of his parents.
15. Last, but not least, He loves our family and will do anything he can to ensure we lead a life of joy, contentment, and A life that brings Glory to Our Father, Jesus Christ!

OUR ELECTION DAY SLEEPOVER

We had a fun little sleepover since the kids did not have school due to the election. Bailee had her friend Ashley and Caiden had his best friend, Bo. Of course, they had others friends that come over during the day!
The boys played football and traded baseballs cards

The girls played on the computer, played school, and jumped on our trampoline.
I let the kids have the camera most of the sleepover
I usually go around the house taking pictures of everything they do, but I thought it would be more fun if they actually took the pictures themselves, for it was their sleepover and they could tell the story better!

They also played card and board games, and eat popcorn and left over Halloween candy!
I had cooked a ham for that night with baked beans, potato salad and rolls. I also cooked gumbo for the next day.
I love having little sleepovers for the kids! They had lots and lots of fun! They were all so good that I even went and got donuts for them the morning of the election!

OUR HALLOWEEN

Bailee in the haunted house.
We had a great Halloween! Our day was busy, but it was so much fun!

I ate lunch with the kids, like every Friday, and I attended Caiden and Bailee's Halloween parties at school.

They both had pizza parties and Bailee's class had coke floats.

It was great to see their little friends and I got to really know their friends and all the little stories they tell about each other.

It is such a great feeling to walk in their school and see all the faculty and parents, we are such a close knit school.

Caiden's little party was great, and his friends always are so sweet, and they talk to me daily about how much they like him, and how he is the class clown!

Bailee's class had their little coke floats on the playground and I got to see her play with her friends out side.

I absolutely adore Bailee's teacher Mrs. Tanner. We have really become really good friends! She cares about every student in her class, and she is soo pretty!

She tells me often how much Bailee reminds her of her own daughter!

I worked on my little decoration table a lot today. I was so proud of myself for the pumpkins that I purchased at Sam's today. They had pumpkins for 1.71, WOW, what a great deal! And since we had already carved our pumpkins, I just got them to do later in the day!

I had also made cookies and cupcakes for their after school snack. I am not very good at making desserts, but at least I tried.

I had little treat bags made up for them.

As always, Caiden and Bailee are so excited about coming home and finding little surprises that I had for them.

I filled their little bags with coloring books, stickers, and fake buck teeth, which they loved! I also had candy and little flashlights that had Halloween themes on them.

I also put Hairspray paint in their gifts bags, and I sprayed their hair with it.

What's Halloween without candied corn!

Caiden called Bo and asked him to come over for a bit, and had a surprise waiting for him.

I had also got them spray string in their little treat bags and they has so much fun spraying each other with it and they got Bo pretty good!

I decided to carve our 2 pumpkins while they played football, I asked Caiden and Bailee if they wanted to help and they told me that they had already carved pumpkins and thought that I should do it myself, so I did it gladly! I even had kids from our neighborhood stop by and comment on my carving! One little girl said that I was doing a great job, and she wished her mom would do that with her, I kinda felt sorry for her.

After the carving, Caiden and Bailee got dressed for our local church's Fall carnival. Bailee has dressed as a ghost, and Caiden went as one of his heroes, Drew Brees, who plays for the Saints.

We has so much fun at our church, Caiden and Bailee's friends were there and they got to hang out together.

They played many games.

Caiden and I got our faces painted! He decided on ULM, since he was going to the game tomorrow.

I got a Saint's sign and and a LSU, since I am a fan of both!

After the fall carnival, we got ready to trick and treat in our neighborhood.

Our neighborhood is like the jackpot of Halloween. They are so many people that come to our area. Cars are parked down the street for miles. People have trailers hooked up with lots of children, and it is always soo much fun to see everyone from our school there.

We got to go to at least 3 little haunted houses in our neighborhood.

Bailee particpated in one and wanted to show that she was really scared!

Bailee Grace and her friend Mary Grace

Caiden and his freinds Tanner and Grant

We has soo much fun! We even had Trey and and Susan Flutt in our house for a while , so Hunter and Luke could trick and treat with our kids! We ate Johnny's Pizza and ate lots and lots of candy and popcorn and watched movies! I love Halloween so much and the kids do too!
